Panoramic road trip

Explore the Panorama Route with Us

Before we set off, a friendly reminder: please leave your best rain dance moves at home — sunshine makes this road trip even more unforgettable! Our journey begins from the Ohrigstad side, taking you on a carefully planned route so you don’t miss a thing. Along the way we’ll visit some of the Panorama Route’s most famous landmarks: The Three Rondavels, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Berlin Falls, God’s Window, and The Pinnacle. The Three Rondavels

Think of giant mountains dressed up as traditional African rondavel huts — round, thatched homes with domed roofs. That’s what you’ll see here, overlooking the Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest green canyons in the world. From Mariepskop, the highest viewpoint, the views stretch across the canyon and down to the shimmering Blyde Dam — cameras at the ready!Bourke’s Luck Potholes

If rocks could gossip, these would never stop talking. Carved by swirling rivers over millions of years, these cylindrical potholes mark the dramatic start of the Blyde River Canyon, where the “happy” Blyde River and the “sad” Treur River meet. A little geology, a little romance, and a lot of amazing photo spots.Berlin Falls

Here, water takes center stage with a 45-meter plunge into a green pool below. We’ll enjoy the best vantage point from above — where the power of the falls is equal parts beauty and soundtrack.God’s Window

Believers or not, everyone agrees this view is divine. From here you can see across the Lowveld, and on a clear day even as far as Mozambique. Don’t miss the short stair climb through a lush pocket of rainforest — it’s like nature’s red carpet to one of South Africa’s most breathtaking vistas. The Pinnacle

This free-standing rock tower rises 50 meters from the canyon floor below, as if daring gravity to prove it wrong. Is it showing off? Maybe — but it’s worth the stop.Lunch Stop

All that sightseeing builds an appetite, so we’ll break for lunch at your choice of Harry’s Pancakes (famous for flipping pancakes into legends) or The Chubby Pig, where hearty meals come with equally hearty smiles.By the end of the day, you’ll realize just how much of South Africa’s natural beauty you’ve experienced in only a few hours — from deep canyons and thundering waterfalls to mountaintop views that make time stand still. It’s a tour packed with wonder, a bit of humor, and plenty of unforgettable moments.
